LUCY MAUNDER

Since graduating from WAAPA in 2006, Lucy has cemented her reputation as one of Australia’s main stage leading ladies playing a huge range of roles over the last 20 years. Lucy is currently performing in Brisbane’S QPAC on the final leg of the 40th anniversary tour of Cats the Musical (Crossroads Live) in the role of Jellylorum. Prior to this Lucy starred opposite Keegan Joyce in the critically acclaimed two-hander Australian premiere of No Love Songs  (Newtheatricals) which played as the first musical at Stephen Found’s new Foundry Theatre at the Sydney Lyric. And in a true career highlight throughout 2024 Lucy had the opportunity to tour Australia as the iconic Roxie Hart in the recent Australian smash hit production of Chicago (Crossroads Live).

Other recent role highlights include Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins (Michael Cassel Group); protagonist Alison Bechdel in the Australian premiere of the smash hit Broadway musical Fun Home (STC/MTC); Mrs Bucket in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Crossroads Live); Catherine in Pippin (Crossroads Live); Cynthia Weil in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (Michael Cassel Group); Miss Honey in Matilda the Musical (Louise Withers/RSC London); Lillian Holliday in Happy End (Victorian Opera); There’s Something About Music (The Little Red Company); Heather Chandler in the Australian Premiere of Heathers (ShowWork); Patty in Tim Finn’s Ladies in Black (QTC/MTC); Rizzo in Grease (GFO); Cinderella in Into The Woods (Victorian Opera); Lara in the World Premiere of Doctor Zhivago (GFO); Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera (Victorian Opera/Malthouse/STC); Janet in The Rocky Horror Show (TML Enterprises); Emma in Jekyll and Hyde (TML Enterprises); Anne Egerman in A Little Night Music (Opera Australia)

Film credits include The Eternity Man for Channel 4 UK/ABC and the lead role in the short film Identical amongst other commercial and television credits including singing the National Anthem at The State of Origin, The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carols (Channel 9) and appearances on the The Morning Show (Channel 7) and Today Extra (Channel 9) as well as a huge range of orchestral concerts with The Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra.

Lucy’s one-woman show Irving Berlin: Songs in the Key of Black toured Australia to rave reviews at venues such as the prestigious Spiegeltent, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Noosa Festival, His Majesty’s Perth and Claire’s Kitchen. Her album featuring arrangements and musical direction by Daniel Edmonds is available across all platforms.
