MIA SIMONETTE
Mia Simonette is one of Australia’s brightest rising talents, tipped to become the country’s next great leading lady. In 2025, she starred as Young Sally in Follies with Victorian Opera, directed by Stuart Maunder AM, choreographed by Yvette Lee, and under the musical direction of Phoebe Briggs.
A First Class Honours graduate from WAAPA with a major in Jazz Music and international training at New York University, Mia has already made her mark across a diverse range of productions. In 2023 she played Natalie Haller in All Shook Up (Hama Productions) and Lucinda in Into The Woods (West Australian Opera). Mia also played the role of Mayzie LaBird in Seussical the Musical (Regal Theatre), Miss Bell and understudied Carmen Diaz in Fame The Musical (Crown Theatre), and understudied the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz (Crown Theatre). Additional credits include Nicola in Kinky Boots, Magenta in Dirty Cabaret / Rocky Horror Experience, Ancestor in The Addams Family Musical, and most recently contributing to the development of the new Australian musical Children of the Air.
With her magnetic stage presence, exceptional vocal ability, and proven versatility across musical theatre, opera, and new works, Mia is destined to take on leading roles on Australia’s biggest stages.
