NGAIRE DAWN FAIR

Ngaire Dawn Fair is a highly accomplished actor, director, writer and voice artist whose work spans film, television, theatre and voice-over.

A versatile and intuitive performer, Ngaire has built a formidable body of work. Some of her screen credits include The Slap (ABC), House Husbands (Nine Network), Offspring (Southern Star), Winners and Losers (Seven Network), Mr & Mrs Murder (Fremantle Media), Killing Time and Satisfaction, as well as feature films Holding The Man (dir. Neil Armfield) and Crawlspace (dir. Justin Dix). She also wrote, starred and co-directed the short film MYLK with Ben Prendergast, and voiced the Netflix animation Book of Beasts.

Since 2012, Ngaire has been a proud ensemble member of the prestigious Red Stitch Actors Theatre, where her stage work has been met with critical acclaim. Standout performances include The Flick (dir. Nadia Tass), Extinction by Hannie Rayson, Detroit (dir. Tanya Dickson), Eurydice (dir. Luke Kerridge), 4000 Miles (dir. Mark Wilson), and The Antipodes (dir. Ella Caldwell).

As a director, Ngaire’s credits include Penelope Skinner’s The Village Bike and numerous Playlist playlets for Red Stitch. Alongside her extensive screen and stage career, she is also a celebrated voice artist and was the long-time face and voice of Ford Australia.

Ngaire trained in both Australia and Los Angeles with Lisa Robertson Studio, Kim Farrant, and Ellen Burstyn, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Acting) from The National Theatre Drama School, Melbourne.
